Brazil. So I leave the beautiful sea shores of Rio de Janeiro,
and go to the Amazon Basin, where a amazing variety of fishes are
waiting for the dedicated fisherman. You have many different
places to go. This year browsing trough the Web, I found http://www.ranchoxingu.com.br/
and decided to go there to check if things there were worth the
photos of the site. (See Photo Filhote) I took with me a very
well know American captain. His name is Tim Choate, and he owns
the Artmarina , one of the best fishing resorts in Guatemala.
(See photo Tim Choate With Cachorra). Tim was marveled with the
great sharp toot Payaras. But the luck one was me with my
Cachara (See photo IGFA - World Record) actually a world record.
Mentioning IGFA, the Xingu River area has already 8 world
records approved, and at least more 18 being in study for approval.
If I am luck, besides the two ones I already have, more 11 will
be approved. Another fish I love to catch with light tackle and
artificial is the Pike Serracin, which we call "Bicuda". (See
photo Pike). Hope someday I will be able to take you there.
